House T, Tokyo, Japan by Hiroyuki Shinozaki Architects

Floor like bookshelf plates are placed at the different level in the shifted box. Furniture is put on the each floor to create living room, dining room, kitchen and bedroom. Each plate-like-floors are only hooked by columns which are three-dimensionally intersected at the middle of the box and this simple structure gives latitude for space composition.

8BIT OF THE FUTURE

With the release of Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon just days away, it only makes sense to post Rik Oostenbroek’s futuristic gaming designs featuring an NES, NES controller, NES cartridge, and a completely redesigned Game Boy.

The neon-infused radness of Oostenbroek’s designs look like they’ve been taken right from the upcoming game and would be exactly what protagonist Sergeant Rex Power Cult would play in his down time.

Visit Oostenbroek’s website to view all his designs.

Wooden Vespa Scooter by Carlos Alberto | via

Scooters have become a lot cooler these days than they used to be, and with offerings like this Wooden Vespa by Carlos Alberto individuals are beginning to use the 2 wheeler as a way to express their inner creativity.

Designed for his daughter Daniella, which is exactly what this beautiful scooter is called, Carlos Alberto crafted this fully functional Vespa scooter from laminated hardwood. Packed with a 50cc motor, this thing looks like it’s right out of the 60s. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen people getting creative with their Vespas either.

James Lee Byars - The Death of James Lee Byars (1982/94)

A gold-leaf room wherein Byars enacted his symbolic death with a glass sarcophagus and five crystals left as a bodily trace. The performance instructions read: Quietly lie down and quietly get up.

The way I feel everyday.
